I'm not a poet...I'm not a poet because I don't turn a phrase as well as I could or use a metaphor quite as I should. My rhymes are usually simplistic and my lines rarely match. I'm not quite sure how to use meter and I rarely alliterate. I know a poem when I read it and mine are not it.I'm not a poet...
Yet sometimes when I write it feels as if I hold the world in my hands for just one instant. A glimmer of a moment shimmers on the edge of my mind. Words unspoken shift and change and sometimes the heart of my feeling transfers onto a page for someone... ... even if in the end that one is just me.

More than just a carousel...Ferris wheels and spinning heels. Circular miraculars. How soon we fall into the ball and spin around as days before. That something better's offered rarely seems to find a way to place itself in mind. Shifting sand; the pattern's left behind. A whisp, a breath, a shift perhaps. Perhaps and then perhaps and then perhaps but sleep whispers at the corners and the time has gone. Too late. Ahh yes too late. And how do we keep ourselves from simply repeating history instead of creating His story? The red sun balanced on the flat horizon, as the heat shimmered in this orange glow. The world itself turned orange, and he said that he must go. So he left.
With a tear in my eye I watched him go, as I sat on this uncomforting stone. It seemed the sun left with him, and I was all alone. So I cried.
But he was only gone a short eternity, back before I knew he had left. As I kneel in my loneliness, he says its for the best. So I stand.
